Developmental Dentistry Mini-Residency

The Lee Specialty Clinic’s Developmental Dentistry Mini-Residency is an intensive, one-week Continuing Education immersion program, developed in affiliation with the University of Louisville School of Dentistry for dentists who are graduates of accredited U.S. dental programs, and who wish to complete additional, focused training in the care of patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).  The course provides dentists with a unique, hands-on experience in treating patients with IDD in an interdisciplinary environment.

The mini-residency also features a seven-hour lecture component, which provides the theoretical and conceptual basis for an organized approach to quality patient care.  Clinical training includes rotations in advocacy and genetics.
