Developmental Dental Hygiene Mini-Residency
The Developmental Dental Hygiene Mini-Residency is an intensive, one-week Continuing Education immersion program presented by the Lee Specialty Clinic in affiliation with the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. The course gives dental hygienists a unique, hands-on experience in treating patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The Developmental Dental Hygiene Mini-Residency program has been developed for graduates of an accredited U.S. dental hygiene program who wish to complete additional, focused training in the care of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities.
The mini-residency provides a unique clinical immersion experience, but also features a five-hour lecture component, which provides the theoretical and conceptual basis for an organized approach to quality patient care.
