Developmental Medicine / Psychiatry Physician Assistant Student Clinical Rotation
In affiliation with Sullivan University’s Physician Assistant (PA) Master of Science Program, the Lee Specialty Clinic offers a six-week, clinical immersion externship in both Developmental Medicine and Developmental Psychiatry.
Available to PA students in their senior (second) year of training, the rotations are designed to provide the PA student with hands-on experience in the provision of either medical or psychiatric services to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The PA student will learn to function as an important member of the interdisciplinary team, working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts.
The externship includes a mixture of clinical, written, and on-line curricula.
