Teaching Programs

In affiliation with Indiana Weslyan University School of Nursing’s Physician Assistant (PA) Program, the Lee Specialty Clinic offers the PA student a clinical immersion (block) externship in both Developmental (Family) Medicine and Developmental Psychiatry.

The rotations are designed to provide the PA student with hands-on experience in the provision of either family medicine or psychiatric services to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The PA student will learn to function as an important member of the interdisciplinary team, working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts.

The externship includes a mixture of clinical, written, and on-line curricula.
